On behalf of the Lake Tahoe School District, I want to thank our community and the overwhelming support in passing Measure U. This is an investment in the future of our students, teachers, and the entire community.
With the passing of Measure U, we will be able to make essential improvements to our school buildings, including repairs to aging infrastructure, modernization of classrooms, updating of pavement, and enhancement of the entrances to our schools. These upgrades will not only ensure the safety and comfort of our students and staff but will also provide an environment that fosters learning, growth, and pride in our schools.
We are excited about the positive changes that will come from this, and we are committed to using these resources wisely to ensure that our schools remain places where excellence can thrive. This success is a testament to the power of community collaboration, and we are truly grateful for your trust and commitment to our children's education.
Another critical component of passing Measure U is establishing a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). Applications for the LTUSD CBOC are currently being accepted and will close at 12 p.m. on January 17, 2025. The committee is responsible for monitoring the allocation and use of public funds, as well as ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with legal and policy requirements. Those who are interested in serving on the CBOC please visit CBOC Information for additional information and the application.
Thank you once again for your incredible support!
Superintendent Dr. Todd Cutler
