White Christmas at Lake Tahoe brings road controls, power outages

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The forecasted snow has arrived this week around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra, and coming with the heavy loads have been power outages along with chain controls. Liberty Utilities reports over 4,000 of its customers at Lake Tahoe remain without electricity, 2,195 of those in El Dorado County. At 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, 9,000 customers did not have power and crews are working to get the remaining customers back on line. To see current outages, visit HERE.

A tree was reported down on Kingsbury Grade that took power out with it, as well as near Heavenly Mountain Resort.
