Family argument leads to one person allegedly shooting another in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A family disagreement led to one man allegedly shooting another person on Friday night in South Lake Tahoe.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded to a call on December 23 of a person injured by a gunshot in the 800 block of Gardner Street in South Lake Tahoe.

Upon arrival, they found one person with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. That person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries according to SLTPD Sgt. Brian Hannick.

Arrested at the scene was 67-year-old Randolph Klitsch. He is currently being charged with Aggravated Assault on a Person with a Firearm and his bail is set at $100,000.

The relationship between the two parties involved cannot be disclosed at this time, according to Hannick. He said the SLTPD Detective Sgt. Scott Crivelli and the department's detective team arrived at the home on Gardner and are currently conducting the investigation.

There are no outstanding suspects or anticipated risks to the public, said Hannick.
