Christmas Tree recycling in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Tahoe Refuse will be collecting natural Christmas trees during their regular collection days through January 9. Remove all decorations, and if over five feet tall, cut them in half, and leave them by garbage carts or bear boxes on collection day.

By leaving the trees out they can be recycled and not added to landfills.

Customers can also drop trees off at the South Tahoe Refuse Recovery Facility until January 15. They are located at 2121 Eloise Ave., South Lake Tahoe.

The holiday season isn’t just about decorations and gifts—it’s also about showing love for the environment! South Tahoe Refuse reminds all that working together helps keep the season green while protecting our planet.
