SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - As the latest storm system passes by, the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025 are looking fairly mild. Starting Monday, high pressure will build in, bringing drier and more stable conditions. A weak system may deliver light showers near the Oregon border on Wednesday with a slight chance of affecting Lake Tahoe, but otherwise, the week will remain dry with lighter winds and above-average temperatures heading into the New Year. Valley inversions and stagnant air conditions are expected to develop by midweek under clearer skies.
