COVID-19 cases in South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Cases of COVID-19 continue to surge not only across the country but in California and El Dorado County. There have been 140 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths recorded since yesterday in El Dorado County. This brings the total of COVID-19 cases in the county to 17,707. The wrapup of all other counties around the lake takes place on Fridays.
There are now 21.3 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 residents in the county.

To date, 175 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths recorded today. This count does not include deaths still under investigation.
There are 12 (+1) hospitalized with 5 (+1) in the ICU in El Dorado County. Barton Hospital has 5 of the hospitalized patients, Marshall Hospital in Placerville has 7. Barton has 3 ICU patients, Marshall has 2.
Currently, the State's website says there are 0 available ICU beds in the county, 0 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 0 at Marshall in Placerville. Barton has said there are plenty of beds available even if the state's website doesn't show it.
