AAUW to honor local Tech Trek girls

June 15, 2022 - 4:00pm The South Lake Tahoe Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) sponsors girls interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to attend a week-long residential camp on the campus of UC Davis.
Interested girls are nominated by their 7th-grade science or math teachers, then fill out an application, write an essay, and are then interviewed for a chance to be awarded one of the up to three local sponsorships.
Ninety-four girls from Northern California participate in core classes, workshops, presentations, and special field trips on campus.
