LTCC awarded Blue Ribbon Tallac Achievement Award for Mobility Hub project

The award is given to an exemplary infrastructure project that revitalizes and enhances the economy and community of Tahoe’s South Shore.

Electric buses heading to South Lake Tahoe; Docking station at LTCC Mobility Hub
Submitted by paula on Sat, 08/10/2019 - 8:22amSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There are two new groups of buses heading to South Lake Tahoe, one bringing 35-foot overhead electrically-charged buses and the other bringing 16-passenger battery-charged buses.
The Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) has received a grant for $2.1 million grant to help bring new electric buses to South Lake Tahoe. During their meeting Friday in Incline Village, the Board approved the purchase of three battery-electric buses, two pedestal chargers and two overhead chargers, all to be done through grant funds.

Submitted by paula on Tue, 07/24/2018 - 11:48amThe Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has given Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) $1.6M to help continue bus service from Carson City to the Carson Valley and on to Lake Tahoe, but more is still needed to help TTD continue service both at the lake and in the valley.

While it’s no surprise that our customers rank environmental responsibility as very important, it’s been a welcome surprise that they rank Liberty’s environmental stewardship higher each year. In 2016, 75% said we were environmentally responsible—up from 68% the year before!
Liberty Utilities has taken several steps in recent years that contribute to our customers recognizing our environmental commitment.
Public invited to Electric Vehicle Summit in Lake Tahoe

The summit will include displays of two Tesla vehicles, a Proterra 40-foot electric bus and a ChargePoint EV charging station.

City adds another location for electric car owners to charge up
Submitted by paula on Thu, 03/10/2016 - 4:48pmVisitors to South Lake Tahoe have several options to charge their cars, with the newest location added in the City owned Heavenly Village parking garage.
The City partnered with ChargePoint, the largest electric vehicle charging station company, and added a system on the first floor of the garage near the elevator. Users will need to have an account with ChargePoint.
Grant awarded for Tahoe-Truckee Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan
