Dodgeball Tournament to raise funds for family of DCSO Investigator
Submitted by paula on Wed, 08/30/2017 - 10:06pmTo help one of their own, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) and community members are holding a Dodgeball Tournament fundraiser on September 10 at Sierra Lutheran High School at 1:00 p.m.
DCSO Investigator Nate Almeida and his wife Jen learned their son Trent had B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April of this year. Last week, the family received good new when bone marrow test results show no leukemia. Trent is now undergoing a 100-day cycle of chemotherapy and undergoing the next phase of treatment to keep those negative test results.

Let the games begin, again! Dodgeball, table tennis, badminton, music, food, bounce house, science fair and more are all on tap for the 3rd annual Community Games on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus on Saturday, May 7 from noon to 4:00 p.m.
The LTCC Coyote athletes will train young soccer players and other kids activities include face painting and a scavenger hunt. But, its not all for kids, tournaments for adults will create a lot of excitement.

Kick off the winter with a good old fashioned dodgeball tourney! Join Sierra-at-Tahoe at Steamers Bar & Grill on November 12 for live music, drink specials, giveaways, and a dodgeball tournament in anticipation of the 2015-16 winter season, and this year there should even be snow on the ground!

Let the games begin again! Lake Tahoe Community College’s student-led business club, the Future Business Leaders of Tahoe, is hosting the 2nd Annual LTCC Community Games on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in LTCC’s Fitness Education Center on campus. This event-filled day will include a table tennis competition, kickball tournaments, dodgeball tournaments, a silent auction, raffle, food and drink, and live music.

Get your teams ready for the annual Sierra-at-Tahoe Dodgeball Tournament. Dubbed a snowball tournament in anticipation of winter, teams will play in a good old fashioned dodgeball tourney.
The event will be held at Steamers' Bar & Grill located at 2236 Lake Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be a Passholder Appreciation Hour, followed by the doors opening to the public at 7 p.m. for team paperwork hour. Dodgeball Tournament on the back patio will be from 8 p.m. to about 10 p.m.
