Submitted by paula on Tue, 03/10/2015 - 8:41pmSaturday is the ultimate Pi Day, a day that most people will experience only once in their life. The number Pi (π) is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to it's diameter. In honor of this special day, the LTCC Math Club is holding a family friendly event.
Since π = 3.141592653, people are being asked to gather at the Heavenly Gondola's clock on 3.14.15 at 9:26:53 a.m.

Yet, the bar was packed and the outside seating was starting to fill up by late afternoon.
Pete Joseph and business partner, former Navy Seal Greg McPartlin, put a lot of work into the 6,000 square foot found building at the end of the new Chateau and across the street from Harveys.

My son Chris won tickets by answering a Bighorn trivia game on a Reno radio station, so my daughter Abby and I drove down Friday night to join him and watch the season opener against the Iowa Energy.

Submitted by paula on Tue, 10/28/2014 - 10:14pmAfter witnessing the Tahoe Paradise Resort Improvement District (TPRID) meeting last week I starting thinking how the residents of Meyers and Tahoe Paradise could be better served.
What happened at the TPRID meeting was a sad display of a board in action. There was yelling, arguing and, what one person witnessing everything said, “don’t air your dirty laundry in a meeting like this.”

Police Chief’s Monthly Report to the Community
Submitted by paula on Fri, 08/15/2014 - 11:01pmMarijuana is a major concern for many in our City. As part of the City Code, our City Council provided for a safer community by allowing marijuana grow operations only after a permit is obtained. The permit process provides for a building official to inspect for things like:
1. Safe wiring—adding large number of “grow lights” overburdens conventional electric outlets and can cause fires.
