October 28, 2018 (All day) Experience the most famous book in the world in a whole new way. Professor Tom Meyer, The Bible Memory Man, who has an amazing 20 complete books of the Bible memorized, will be speaking twice in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday, October 28, 2018.
Meyer will speak at First Baptist Church at 1053 Wildwood Avenue at 11:00 a.m. and at Calvary Chapel, located at 807 Emerald Bay Road at 6:00 p.m.
Public invited to Open House at South Tahoe High for new teen resource room
Submitted by paula on Mon, 11/14/2016 - 12:35pmThe community is invited to an Open House at the new Teen Resource Room at South Tahoe High on Wednesday, November 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in room C-1 at the school which is located at 1735 Lake Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe.
Students use the room to get needed clothing including hats and coats, school supplies and food, as well as bicycles. Counseling services are also offered in the room.

Decorated U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and international speaker David Courson will be at the First Baptist Church of South Lake Tahoe at 11:00 a.m. this Sunday, August 14.
Courson is Director of the Island Bible Institute in Hawaii, and has directed Christian educational and assistance projects in war-zones, refugee camps, and developing nations since 1974 in over 60 countries. Current speaking topics emphasize the struggle for religious freedom all over the world.
Letter to the Editor: City’s 4th of July Parade a huge success

There were a total of 78 vehicles and approximately 200 people on foot either walking, biking, or dancing. American Legion Post 795 served as the parade marshals.
The City of South Lake Tahoe would like to say "Thank You" to all the parade participants, businesses and volunteers for making the 4th of July parade a fantastic community event!

Doug was the son of August William Anderson and Bridget Anderson.
Doug has left behind his wife, Sue Swanson Anderson of 20 years, and two beautiful and amazing children, Bailey Nichole Anderson and Daniel August Anderson. He is also survived by his four sisters, Alice Anderson Palmer and her son Hunter Busenlehner, Betsy Kelly, Kate Anderson and Maureen Walker.

March 10, 2013 - 11:00am Prof. Tom Meyer who has climbed the pyramids in Egypt, explored Petra, walked around the Sea of Galilee and explored the entire Holy Land will be presenting a lecture on March 10 at the First Baptist Church, 1053 Wildwood Ave, in South Lake Tahoe. The program begins at 11 a.m.
