International speaker to be at First Baptist Church in South Lake Tahoe

Decorated U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and international speaker David Courson will be at the First Baptist Church of South Lake Tahoe at 11:00 a.m. this Sunday, August 14.
Courson is Director of the Island Bible Institute in Hawaii, and has directed Christian educational and assistance projects in war-zones, refugee camps, and developing nations since 1974 in over 60 countries. Current speaking topics emphasize the struggle for religious freedom all over the world.
Mr. Courson has a list of attributes: He has spoken in The White House and before U.S. Congressional hearings, has been profiled in The Congressional Record, the Los Angeles Times, and other publications. In addition, he has taught Intercultural Communications at the University of Hawaii, the University of the South Pacific, and San Diego State University. He has founded the Searchlight Bible College in the Republic of Vanuatu, and served as Senior Pastor of South Valley Chapel in California.
