February 19, 2020 - 5:30pm SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Meet Brynne Kennedy, the Democratic candidate for Congressional District 4 at a meet, greet and donate event at the Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge on Wednesday, February 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
District 4 includes all of six counties (El Dorado, Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, Mariposa, and Tuolumne), and parts of four others (Fresno, Madera, Placer and Nevada). She is challenging the incumbent, Tom McClintock.
The Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge is located at 3411 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe.
Local teen scholar invited to Delegation for Diplomacy in South Africa

"I am so excited for this opportunity to see how other democracies work and represent my Hometown," Terrell said.

Restaurants participating in the inaugural “Tahoe Good Food Gives Back” will be donating a portion of every dollar spent over the weekend. When you sit down to eat at Scusa Italian Ristorante, the Getaway Cafe, Izabella Ristorante Italiano, Artemis Lakefront Cafe, and Ace High Saloon & Smokehouse, tell the server you are there to "Tahoe Good Food Gives Back.”
50th annual Optimist Club Tree Lot in South Lake Tahoe

Stop by the corner of Lakeview Avenu and Lake Tahoe Boulevard for a dose of holiday spirit seven-days-a-week. There is free popcorn and hot cocoa for the kids as you start off on that journey to find the perect tree. The annual tree lot is open from 12:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends.
The Optmists have a selection of Grand Firs, Noble Firs, Silver Tips and Douglas Fir trees.
SLT Cancer League's annual See's Candy Sale at the Crossing

November 16, 2018 (All day) The South Lake Tahoe Cancer League is launching their biggest fundraiswer of the year, the annual See's Candy Sale, on Friday, November 16, 2018.
This year the sale is located in the Crossing located at 2038 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe. The Crossing has generously donated the space to the Cancer League.
The store will be operated by volunteers from 10:00 a..m to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays until they are sold out.
Letter to the Editor: City’s 4th of July Parade a huge success

There were a total of 78 vehicles and approximately 200 people on foot either walking, biking, or dancing. American Legion Post 795 served as the parade marshals.
The City of South Lake Tahoe would like to say "Thank You" to all the parade participants, businesses and volunteers for making the 4th of July parade a fantastic community event!

Join the Barton Foundation for the 21st annual Tiki Tee Off Golf Tournament and Luau. All proceeds support the Community Health Endowment to benefit the health and wellbeing of South Shore residents.
This year’s golf outing will take place on Friday, May 22, at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe. Check-in and buffet brunch will start at 12 p.m. The shot gun scramble will tee off at 1:30 p.m.

I wanted to send my congratulations to the organizers and participants at the St. Baldrick’s Foundation fund raiser on Friday, February 27th at the Ice Arena in South Lake Tahoe. What a fantastic event for a foundation with the goal to “Conquer Childhood Cancers.” Thank you!
