Valhalla Tahoe and our volunteers celebrate the season by decking the Grand Hall for everyone's enjoyment. A favorite tradition for many local families, you can get a glimpse of Tahoe's past while shopping for hand-made crafts, taking free photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and enjoying local entertainment and holiday libations. Tahoe's Children's Choirs line the balcony to sing holiday songs throughout the day.

Valhalla's 25th annual Holiday Faire canceled for 2020
Submitted by paula on Sun, 11/01/2020 - 10:47amSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - One of Valhalla’s most loved community events is the annual Holiday Faire, and they were set to celebrate a milestone 25th year this November. After a successful partnership with The Heritage Foundation to create a Winter Wanderland at the Tallac Historic Site last year, both organizations were excited about expanding the event this year. Unfortunately, due to the size of the Grand Hall and limits on capacity, Valhalla Tahoe’s Board of Directors have been forced to cancel the event.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It will be a grand weekend at the Tallac Historic Site as the Valhalla Holiday Faire and Winter Wanderland help everyone get into the holiday spirit November 22-24.
The three-day holiday celebration includes 30 local vendors inside the Valhalla Grand Hall with holiday music, treats, pictures, and a Forest of Lights between the Grand Hall and Pope-Baldwin Estates with shopping at the historic site museum.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A weekend-long celebration of the holidays will be at the historic Valhalla Grand Hall and Boathouse Theater November 16-18, 2018.
The annual Valhalla Holiday Faire will feature a variety of local and regional arts and crafts vendors, a Grand Hall decked out in traditional holiday style, refreshments from their bar, photos with Santa and the Valhalla raffle and holiday cheer to kick off the season in true Tahoe style.

The Winterfest concert with the Oakland Jazz Choir will be on November 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will feature holiday music and other popular selections.

One creamy swipe across a piece of sourdough bread or dipped with a cracker, and anyone with a discerning palate can tell the difference between store-bought and these homemade delights.
But what is in that tasty swipe is a guarded secret.
2018 Valhalla Art, Music and Theatre Festival schedule announced

The festival is Valhalla Tahoe’s flagship event, a unique celebration of music, theatre and the visual arts. The festival is set against the magnificent backdrop of Lake Tahoe and the Tallac Historic Site. Looking forward to its 34th year, it is produced by Valhalla Tahoe.
The Festival begins in mid-June with events and activities that continue throughout August.

A long-standing South Lake Tahoe tradition, the Valhalla Holiday Faire, will be held November 18-20. For the 21st year, the non-profit Valhalla Tahoe will be holding the free event full of 28 local vendors & artisans, singing by the South Lake Tahoe Children’s Choral Society and a visit with Santa Claus.

The annual Valhalla Holiday Faire will be held at the Tallac Historic Site this weekend, inside the Valhalla Grand Hall. This is an annual holiday tradition for many, who head out to the hall to see local artists, craftspeople, Santa Claus, choirs and musical groups.
After the grand opening Friday night, the faire continues on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, November 22 the hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tahoe Arts Project looking for vendors for annual holiday faire
Submitted by paula on Thu, 09/25/2014 - 10:00pmTahoe Arts Project has announced the return of their Holiday Festival! The 3rd annual event will be held for two days this year, November 15 and 16.
They are looking for crafters and artists, from beginner to professionals. All items must be handmade and no imports will be allowed.
Booth prices are $100 for a 10 x 10 booth space with no additional commission fees charged. There are also have 6 x 7 booth spaces available for $75. Booth Fee's are for BOTH days, making it affordable when compared to other events.
Barton Auxiliary thanks Dan Kerr
Submitted by paula on Tue, 07/15/2014 - 10:53pmThe Barton Health and South Lake Tahoe community have lost a special, irreplaceable friend. On June 27, Dan Kerr passed away. He was 76 years old.
Dan is probably best known as the Sacramento Chairman of the Blood Drive. Dan donated more than 26 gallons of blood. Since 1981, he has coordinated blood drive efforts in South Lake Tahoe with the Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The South Lake Tahoe Blood Drive still takes place every other month and, with Dan’s coordination, celebrated its 48th year anniversary in June.

Snow on the ground, a decorated Grand Hall which is home to the 18th Annual Holiday Bazaar at Valhalla Friday through Sunday. Local artists and vendors will have a variety of hand crafted and other special items for purchase.
On Saturday and Sunday there will also be performances by the local school choirs and other musical groups, Santa will stop by to spread holiday cheer and an assortment of hot cider, hot mulled wine and holiday cookies will be available for purchase.
