October 13, 2023 - 5:00pm In the wake of the recent terror attack in Israel that saw over 1,000 innocent Jews brutally murdered, Chabad Jewish Center at Lake Tahoe is hosting a Pre-Shabbat unity and prayer rally at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct 13. This event will bring the community together in prayer and will serve as a strong statement of solidarity with the people of Israel amid the ongoing war in Israel. Followed by Kiddush and hot chicken soup.

Two victims and two suspects in Stateline stabbing
Submitted by paula on Mon, 09/21/2020 - 9:13pmSTATELINE, Nev. - One man was arrested and a manhunt ensued for another after two victims were stabbed at Stateline late Friday, September 18. Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) responded to a report of a stabbing outside of Harrah's Tahoe at 10:56 p.m. Once at the scene they were flagged down by bystanders who saw two suspects run through the casino's parking lot. Deputies and South Lake Tahoe police officers created a perimeter around the area including the alley at MontBleu, Lake Parkway and the forested areas behind the casino including Van Sickle Bi-State Park.

With just meters to go, Deceuninck – Quick-Step’s Fabio Jakobsen (NED) rocketed past both to claim the team’s third stage in three days. Cofidis, Solutions Credits Nacer Bouhanni (FRA) followed the trio across the line in fourth place.

The flashcard based language course developed by the Jewish Learning Institute, promises users that they can learn to read Hebrew in only four weeks if they follow the program. Lake Tahoe man's pursuit of Olympic history

"It's amazingly exciting to be part of it," said Sidney on his return to Lake Tahoe after months of traveling the world and participating in skeleton races in pursuit of an Olympic spot.

Romney got the balling rolling at the Grove, with an estimated 800 supporters packed inside and standing outside the event center in South Reno. Romney spoke briefly to those standing outside before giving a short but enthusiastic speech to those crowded inside.
