Tahoe Prospertiy Center awarded for collaborative efforts
Submitted by paula on Fri, 04/01/2016 - 8:51amThe Tahoe Prosperity Center received an award on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from the Placer County Economic Development Board for “Best Collaboration to Encourage a Prosperous, Sustainable and Healthy Lake Tahoe Basin.”
Certificates of recognition were also presented to the Tahoe Prosperity Center from Assemblywoman Beth Gaines, Senators Ted Gaines and Jim Nelson, and Congressma=en Tom McClintock and Douglas LaMalfa.

Prosperity is defined as “the condition of being successful or thriving, especially economic well-being.” The Tahoe Prosperity Center is the basin-wide organization focused on that goal for all who live and work in Lake Tahoe.
Connecting the dots to Lake Tahoe prosperity presented at March 5 forum

Now we need to connect the dots. In the spirit of the TED talks that sparked a wildfire of communal knowledge and immediate action around "ideas worth spreading," the Tahoe Prosperity Center and TahoeChamber are holding a second economic forum March 5.

March 5, 2013 - 5:00pm In the spirit of the TED talks that sparked a wildfire of communal knowledge and immediate action around "ideas worth spreading," the Tahoe Prosperity Center and TahoeChamber are holding a second economic forum March 5.
Business, government, education, transportation, recreation, and healthcare leaders will be sharing their plans, ideas and projects that are focused on economic revitalization on the South Shore. This forum is all about "connecting the dots" between projects that are moving Tahoe toward prosperity.

Tahoe Prosperity Center welcomes two new team members
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 01/23/2013 - 9:42amChristina Proctor, public relations professional, and Bev Ducey, a resource development expert with an extensive history in grant procurement, will be advancing the mission of the Tahoe Prosperity Center (TPC) in 2013. The TPC Executive Committee contracted with Proctor and Ducey after Mone´ Haen, former chief executive officer, announced her resignation in December. Proctor will be developing TPC materials, presentations and handling the daily administrative tasks of the organization. Ducey will focus on strengthening the TPC’s financial resources through grant development.
Lake Tahoe Prosperity Center Names Mone´ Haen as New CEO

The Tahoe Prosperity Center was formed in response to the Lake Tahoe Basin Prosperity Plan developed in 2010 and is the result of an unprecedented coalition of government, private, and philanthropic stakeholders in the Tahoe Basin. The naming of a CEO is a major step in the TPC's mission to promote regional sustainability through economic vitality, environmental stewardship and healthy communities in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Lake Tahoe launches public participation campaign for new vision
Submitted by Editor on Fri, 06/15/2012 - 2:34pmThe North and South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce leaders at Lake Tahoe have joined together to launch a Region-wide public participation campaign to harness the groundswell of support for a new vision to restore and revitalize the Basin. Called TahoeFuture.org, the campaign will focus, over the next 8 months, on two critical land-use and transportation plans that create a blueprint for a revitalized Lake Tahoe.
