Tahoe Fund is Organizing Sponsor of 2012 Lake Tahoe Summit

The need for more public-private partnerships to complete environmental projects at Lake Tahoe is the focus of the 16th annual Lake Tahoe Summit, which will be held this Monday, August 13 at the Edgewood Tahoe resort at Stateline, Nev. The free event will be held 9 a.m. to noon and is open to the public.

Loop road poop road, you do realize that the state is going to do what they want, how they want and when they want with concerns to the Loop road. This is probably the best chance we have to get out of our financial obligation with regards to pensions, healthcare, unsound financial decisions, raising taxes, giving away the keys to the city to every con artist around and quite possibly the clap.
Group works to find and name South Lake Tahoe area peak in memory of fallen soldiers

At the urging of Congressman Tom McClintock, R-Calif., a committee has been formed to find an unnamed mountain peak seen from South Lake Tahoe that will be dedicated to fallen U.S. soldiers from the area.
Congressman McClintock's office approached the U.S. Forest Service about opportunities for a memorial. Forest Supervisor Nancy Gibson came up with the idea of naming an unnamed peak as one of the options for a memorial on National Forest System lands.
