Volunteers sought for food bank distribution Wednesday

The El Dorado County Food Bank's mobile pantry will be in South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, July 22 and they are looking for volunteers to assist with handing out food to the community.

They will be in the parking lot of St. Theresa Church at 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for the public, but need volunteers starting at 9:00 a.m.

Food Bank postpones Wednesday drop off due to weather: Returning May 4

The forecast of inclement weather has prompted the Food Bank of El Dorado County to postpone their normal mobile food pantry date in South Lake Tahoe to Wednesday, May 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion located at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Food Bank returns to South Lake Tahoe to deliver groceries

The Food Bank of El Dorado County will bring their mobile food pantry to South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion located at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

One allocation of emergency supplemental groceries will be given per qualifying household. Those who are struggling to make ends meet, live in El Dorado County and meet the State of California Health and Social Services Agency Emergency Food Assistance Program income guidelines may stop by for food distribution. Income guidelines can be found online at www.dss.cahwnet.gov/efap/.

The Food Bank of El Dorado County in partnership with California Emergency Food Link will be in South Lake Tahoe to host a Mobile Food Pantry Distribution on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to bring food to those who need it most.

Over 20,000 pounds of food distributed at Food Bank event in South Lake Tahoe

The El Dorado County Food Bank was in South Lake Tahoe Wednesday, delivering both food from their mobile pantry and fresh produce from California Emergency Food Link.

A line of people had formed at the American Legion prior to their opening at 10 p.m. Volunteers from St Theresa’s Bread and Broth came out to help and, for the first time, U-Turn 4 Christ from Pollock Pines joined the collective outreach as volunteers to help others.

They are providing a free farmer's market and mobile food pantry at the American Legion Hall at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
