Tahoe author Jennifer Quashnick returns to introduce us to the fourth novel from her Mountaingirl Mysteries series, "Sierra Nevada Burning Revenge", which continues the adventures of Tahoe local Rachel Winters and her two dogs, Bella and Avi. In this adventure, Rachel's life is in danger. After a well-timed visitor interrupts a brutal attack, Rachel and her dogs are forced into hiding.

Thanksgiving weekend events to kick off holiday season in South Lake Tahoe

Thanksgiving is the kickoff to the holiday season, and once the feast is done there are some fun activities on the South Shore to enjoy.

Heavenly Village Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Heavenly Village for the first time ever on Friday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. The Heavenly Village is located in South Lake Tahoe at 1001 Heavenly Village Way. Ceremony includes carolers, music and special visit by Santa Claus, all until 9:00 p.m.

Jennifer Quashnick is the local author of the Mountaingirl Mysteries series, in which Rachel Winters, a Lake Tahoe resident frequently accompanied by her dog Bella, finds herself embroiled in murder, mystery, and romance in the Tahoe Basin and beyond. The series begins with the Sierra Nevada Trail of Murder, where Rachel and Bella discover a murder victim along a local hiking trail. The series continues with Sierra Nevada River of Lies and Sierra Nevada Dangerous Developments.

Mountaingirl Mystery Author at the Zephyr Cove Library

The Douglas County Public Library will be hosting local Lake Tahoe author Jennifer Quashnick at both branches of the library. Jennifer will be at the Lake Tahoe Branch in Zephyr Cove on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. to introduce her Mountaingirl Mysteries series. She will then bring the discussion to the Minden Branch on Wednesday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m.
