Chopped Restaurant Impossible winner to be guest chef at Sample the Sierra

Food Network star, Reno native and culinary storyteller Chef Clint Jolly will be the featured guest chef at Sample the Sierra’s Pop-Up Dinner on Friday, Sept. 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This year's featured dinner will be held at Park Prime inside Hard Rock Lake Tahoe.
Jolly, the winner of the popular television competition, “Chopped: Restaurant Impossible” also founded Great Thyme Catering based in Reno but specializing in creating memorable events throughout the West.

Chip. Putt. Eat. That is the them for one of this year's Sample the Sierra Pop-Up Dinners. Chefs Whitney & Josh Deri of Blend Catering will be preparing dinner on the 10th tee along the Truckee River at Lake Tahoe Golf Course on Friday, September 4 at 6 p.m.
Enjoy four courses consisting of Nevada-grown ingredients perfectly paired with delicious local wines.
FIRST COURSE
Heirloom tomato, whipped burrata, peach, cucumber, tomato water, sumac
SECOND COURSE
King salmon, yellow coconut curry, slow cooked carrot, eggplant, malted barley, kefir lime, crispy shallot
THIRD COURSE
Two Grow Domes going in at Sierra House Elementary; $117,000 raised so far

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) approved two grow domes to be installed at Sierra House Elementary School. Ground is being broken on the project area this weekend and the project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
