May 15, 2021 (All day) Elevated Fitness is hosting their annual Elevated Fitness Charity Scavenger Dash to benefit Humane Society Truckee-Tahoe. The Scavenger Dash is an exciting outdoor foot and bike race where participants work in teams to solve clues, find hidden objects, and perform fun activities in and around South Lake Tahoe. Top teams win prize bags filled with gifts from local businesses, including clothing, gift certificates, and a membership to Elevated Fitness. All proceeds benefit HSTT.

El Dorado County and South Lake Tahoe remain in state's orange reopening tier
Submitted by paula on Tue, 10/13/2020 - 7:43pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - During Tuesday's El Dorado County Board of Supervisors meeting, the county's Public health Officer Dr. Nancy Williams said the region remains in the orange tier of the California reopening plan.
During the meeting, Dr. Williams told the supervisors it is now obvious that California is in the midst of a second wave of coronavirus cases, and El Dorado County is experiencing a second wave as well, but so far the numbers have kept the region in the "orange."
Week full of virtual activities for 50th anniversary of Earth Day

Despite the current global situation, everyone can still celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day thanks to the team at The Tahoe Fund spearheaded a group via their Take Care program that has provided daily activities and challenges for students and parents to participate in over the course of the week.

Sitting here at the end of February with snowpack numbers dwindling, snow lovers are chomping at the bit, waiting to see the storm track shift back our way.
Still, the mountains have been buzzing with activity as skiers and snowboarders race to the mountains to enjoy what natural snow we’ve received and are ever thankful for the assist from local resorts’ snowmaking operations.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Clean Tahoe is hosting an event on Thursday afternoon with South Lake Tahoe native and Olympian Jamie Anderson, Don't Talk Trash - Pick It Up Scavenger Hunt.
On October 3 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., join the community at Lakeside Beach and participate in a trash pick up. Be at the beach at 3:30 p.m. to get supplies and scorecards. The fun begins at 3:50 p.m. and all have exactly one hour to clean the beach and neighborhood. Prizes will then be handed out.
No need to RSVP, just show up and have fun while helping the environment.

Incoming freshmen came to campus on Monday to organize their schedules, tour the campus, and see what’s in store for them for the next four years. Upperclassmen led the freshmen, making sure they were comfortable and answered their questions.

Santa arrives at community tree lighting at Edgewood
Submitted by paula on Sun, 11/25/2018 - 8:10pmThe inaugural Tree Lighting Celebration at Edgewood Tahoe took place on Saturday night with a packed house welcoming in the season with jolly ole' Santa Claus.
As Santa descended the grand stairs in the Lodge at Edgewood with Mrs. Santa, members of the South Tahoe Choral Association sang Christmas songs to the gathered crowd.
"For Edgewood it's about creating memories," the resort's GM Corinna Osborne said as she flipped the switch to light the tree.

Let the games begin, again! Dodgeball, table tennis, badminton, music, food, bounce house, science fair and more are all on tap for the 3rd annual Community Games on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus on Saturday, May 7 from noon to 4:00 p.m.
The LTCC Coyote athletes will train young soccer players and other kids activities include face painting and a scavenger hunt. But, its not all for kids, tournaments for adults will create a lot of excitement.

Have you seen the "Amazing Race" on television? Now you have a chance to participate in South Lake Tahoe's version, the Scavenger Charity Dash, on November 22, 2015 starting at noon.
Elevated Fitness is holding the fundraiser for the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A.
Teams of two will work together in a wild adventure that solves clues, finds scavenger items and is a complete fun challenge.
