Over last 20 years, Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe donates over $1M

$126,000 in scholarships being awarded to 81 LTCC students
Submitted by paula on Fri, 06/22/2018 - 3:44pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe Community College is excited to present its annual scholarship awards to 81 deserving students at a special luncheon taking place on Friday, June 29 – the same day as the college’s graduation ceremony. The 2017/2018 academic year was a record-breaking year of scholarship fundraising for the LTCC Foundation, with generous donors supporting the granting of 120 awards amounting to more than $126,000.
AAUW-South Lake Tahoe awards two scholarships
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 06/11/2018 - 7:18amThe South Lake Tahoe branch of the American Association of University Women AAUW) recently awarded two $1500 scholarships to women graduating from Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) who are going on to further their education at the college or university level.
The club's two winners this year are both from South Lake Tahoe.
Hannah Brown attained an Associate’s degree in math and Spanish from LTCC and will be attending UC Davis to major in computer science.
Lake Tahoe's 8th Annual Stars of Tomorrow Looking for Local Talent

This is a wonderful opportunity for performing arts students in South Lake Tahoe grades 9th-12th to express themselves in public for their families, friends, and the community. Scholarship Awards will be given for First Place ($1,000), Second Place ($750), Third Place ($500), and Audience Favorite ($250).
