AAUW-South Lake Tahoe awards two scholarships

The South Lake Tahoe branch of the American Association of University Women AAUW) recently awarded two $1500 scholarships to women graduating from Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) who are going on to further their education at the college or university level.

The club's two winners this year are both from South Lake Tahoe.

Hannah Brown attained an Associate’s degree in math and Spanish from LTCC and will be attending UC Davis to major in computer science.

Kat Spence who has already attained several Associate’s degrees is graduating from LTCC with a degree in math application and will be attending UC Davis to major in civil engineering.

AAUW SLT sponsors these scholarships as well as providing sponsorships to Tech Trek camp at UC Davis for three local girls who are entering the eighth grade.
