And more than 100 singers and instrumentalists bring you Mendelssohn’s spectacular “Elijah.” Hear the concert at Montbleu Casino Theater in South Lake Tahoe/Stateline on Sunday, Feb. 10th at 4:00 p.m.

Other performances will be Feb. 9 - 17 in Incline Village, Gardnerville and Reno.

Karl James Hildinger ~ 5/30/31 - 11/11/18

Karl James Hildinger was born in Danville, California on May 30, 1931. Jim passed away at home, surrounded by family, in South Lake Tahoe on November 11, 2018.

Three weeks after he was born, he was carried into Angora Lakes Resort in a Washoe papoose basket. He was a staunch environmentalist and spent his lifetime protecting and preserving Angora and the greater Lake Tahoe Basin. The Angora Lakes Resort remains in the family.

Captivating audiences from coast to coast, Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble returns to present their 2017 Spring/Summer concert series, "Cam-pa-no-lo-gy,
the art or practice of bell ringing."

A homegrown community handbell ensemble, Tintabulations has grown from a small group of artistic director Barb Walsh's students to a nationally and internationally respected and sought after ensemble.

Sand Harbor concert celebrates peace with music from around the globe

The series features famed violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn performing Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin in D major Op.61 on the legendary Red Stradivarius Violin. The concert will conclude with Mozart’s symphonic choral masterpiece, Requiem, featuring vocal soloists and the Tahoe Symphony Chorus.

Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus commemorates the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy with a concert series that features famed violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn performing Brahms Violin Concerto on the legendary Red Stradivarius Violin and features the TOCCATA Chorus in Brahms mighty German Requiem.
Sept. 12 at 7pm at St. Theresa Catholic Church in South Lake Tahoe. Tickets are $30 adults, $25 seniors, $5 students (19–23), and free for youth 18 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance by credit card online or at the door by cash or check.

Besides jamming with other musicians, the 34-year-old bluegrass aficionado (if that isn't too high falutin' a word for his musical genre of choice) and Tahoe native has set up a business in town making violins as well as providing restorations, repairs and set ups for all bow string instruments — violin, viola, cello and bass.
