Forest Service temporarily reduces Incline Village office hours
Submitted by Editor on Thu, 01/05/2012 - 9:45amNew hours are in the mix, at least temporarily, for the Incline Village office of the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. Beginning Jan. 11, the office at 855 Alder Ave., will be open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The change is a reduction of about two hours each day and is only temporary, said Lisa Herron, Forest Service spokeswoman. It is not a result of funding cuts but changes to staffing.

The film festival founder, Lake Tahoe TV host, mountaineer and unofficial statesmen of all things uniquely outdoors has been to the Arctic Circle, just returned from a trip to Antarctica, and will be featured in two segments on the popular Discovery Channel program Flying Wild in Alaska.
