Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 33 and a low tonight of 19. Today: Scattered snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.Tonight: Isolated snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Heavenly - Powder. 4" New Snow in last 24 hours. 100% of their terrain is now open which means 4800 acres, 23 lifts and 97 runs are open. The base depth is 64". Terrain Parks open - Groove (13 features) High Roller (12 features) including the Family Cross course. Lift status. Scattered snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Message from Heavenly: We received 4" over the past 24 hours and forecast is calling for scattered snow showers today. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 23°. Please note: North Bowl and Boulder Lifts are closed for the day. Moderate W winds are expected to persist throughout the day, so please stay tuned, as lift operations may be impacted. Weather permitting; 23 lifts are scheduled to spin from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm giving access to all 97 trails, of which 50% were freshly groomed overnight. Our groomers trail picks of the day are Ridge Run in CA and Big Dipper in NV!

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Powder. 8" new snow. 100% of the terrain is now open. 9 lifts are open. Burton Progressive, Bashful and Upper Snowshoe pipes are open. Groomed conditions on 32 of their open 45 runs. Base depth is 46". Lift status. A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 25. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Kirkwood - Powder. 10" new snow. 54% of the mountain terrain is open with 1250 acres, 8 lifts and 55 runs. 78" base. Lift status. A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Facebook message from Kirkwood: Patrol & Lift maintenance night men atop Chairs 6 & 10 are up and have started to work their first rounds of snow-safety this AM… . First rounds of snow-safety operations are just beginning and we will have to work the front-side to start and then working our way to the backside mid-morning after the front-side has been cleared.
