Leadership Lake Tahoe holds Bodacious Bowling Fundraiser

Join the Leadership Lake Tahoe Class of 2016 for a fun community bowling tournament on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Tahoe Bowl in South Lake Tahoe.

The Bodacious Bowling Fundraiser is an event for the community to bowl for a good cause. Teams of four will compete for prizes for highest score and best-dressed team. Individuals without a team will be placed on one at registration. In addition to the bowling action, there will be raffle drawings, including a prize for a Tahoe staycation package valued at $800, and a silent auction, as well as food and drink specials. “Come, hang out with your friends, knock down a few pins, and support a great cause," said Amber Aneloski, one of the event’s organizers. "And don’t forget to dress for success: costumes, goofy outfits, and festive flare are definitely encouraged.”

Proceeds from the event will support Leadership Lake Tahoe’s 2016 Summit: “Make Tahoe Work by Working in Tahoe.” Leadership Lake Tahoe is a community program with the mission to identify and develop current and future leaders. The 2016 Summit in May aims to give residents the tools they need to make Tahoe work for themselves and their businesses. The one-day summit will focus on the tremendous opportunities present in the South Shore, as well as provide guidance on navigating some of the challenges of making a life in Tahoe.

“Without the generous support of our partners and the community the Summit wouldn’t be possible," said 2016 class member Dave Rios. "Coming out to bowl is a great way to have fun and support the Summit.”

Tickets are $20 per person and include shoe rental and two games.

There will be an after-party fundraiser at Sidelli's Brewery from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. $20 for two beers and a pint glass.
