JumpStart on the slopes; An intensive crash course in entrepreneurship

JumpStart Lake Tahoe is offering an intensive crash course in entrepreneurship from March 25 through 29, 2015 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in South Lake Tahoe, California that puts participants on the fast track to success in their business endeavors.

The program, comprised of a combination of lecture and peer-to-peer and group learning, has previously been offered with much success at the University of Nevada, Reno. "We wanted to bring a similar event to Lake Tahoe and put our unique mountain town spin on it," explains Jamie Orr, co-founder of Tahoe Mountain Lab and one of the program partners. "The program will be an intensive five days of learning, but we're going to break it up with networking events such as skiing/boarding in the morning and other activities in the evenings."

The real-world curriculum consists of 60- to 90-minute segments that cover a multitude of topics including understanding the key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, the viability of a business idea, how to get started, and how to achieve sustainable profitability. Additionally, participants will get hands-on experience using a real or fictitious business as a case study.

JumpStart on the Slopes is ideal for outdoor-loving individuals who are looking to start a business, reinvigorate existing businesses or launch a new product or service within a larger organization. The cost of the program for all five days, including lunches and dinners, is $1495 or $1195 if attendees register before midnight on March 1. Travel expenses and lift tickets are not included.
