Douglas authorities look for suspects who tried to cash stolen check at bank

Douglas County authorities seek the public's help in locating several suspects involved in an attempt to cash a stolen check on Saturday at a drive-thru window at Bank of America on Topsy Lane in north Douglas County near Carson City.
The primary suspect, an unidentified male adult, attempted to cash the stolen check at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday while using the drive-thru teller window, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jim Halsey.
The suspect was seated in the right-front passenger seat of a vehicle at the time of the attempted transaction. The driver of the vehicle is also described as an unidentified male adult, and an unidentified female adult was observed seated in the rear seat of the vehicle during the event, Halsey said.

During the attempted transaction the suspects fled in their vehicle prior to arrival of deputies. The suspect vehicle is described as a late model grey-colored 4 door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu. The right-rear passenger door of the vehicle appears to be a lighter shade of grey than the rest of the vehicle (see attached surveillance photo).
The suspects are believed to also possibly be involved in a theft of checks and personal identification in Carson City.
