LTCC Community Games return this Saturday

Event Date:
May 7, 2016 - 12:00pm

Let the games begin, again! Dodgeball, table tennis, badminton, music, food, bounce house, science fair and more are all on tap for the 3rd annual Community Games on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus on Saturday, May 7 from noon to 4:00 p.m.

The LTCC Coyote athletes will train young soccer players and other kids activities include face painting and a scavenger hunt. But, its not all for kids, tournaments for adults will create a lot of excitement.

This event is put on by LTCC student clubs, and funds received from a silent auction and for-a-fee tournaments will help them raise money for student scholarships. Admission to the Community Games is free.

The dodgeball tournament will be from noon until 2 p.m. in the gym. There is a $30 entrance fee for a team of six players to compete. The badminton and table tennis tournaments will be held between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the gym, and there is a $5 per person fee to enter.

Not only is the purpose of the Community Games to raise money for student scholarships but its also meant to build a stronger bond between the college and South Shore community. Members of our community who perhaps have never visited LTCC’s campus are encouraged to attend and discover what the college has to offer while engaging in fun activities and friendly competition.
