Reception for new South LakeTahoe art gallery at City Hall

Event Date:
June 12, 2017 - 6:00pm

A reception to unveil the new art gallery at City Hall in South lake Tahoe will be held on Monday, June 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The public is invited to this free event.

The City and Tahoe Arts Alliance (TAA) have teamed up on the project which will bring work of local artists to the walls at the entrance of City Hall at the airport. Their art will be rotated throughout the year and all art will be available for purchase.

The new art gallery reception will include a meet and greet with displaying artists and city officials.

For the initial opening exhibition period, TAA invited the Tahoe Art League to take the lead and organize the space with art from its members. In subsequent exhibition periods, there will be an open call from TAA for individuals or organizations to take the space and host a reception, as well. Contact TAA if you are interested in future exhibitions: TahoeArtsAlliance.org.

The Tahoe Art League is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fine art and arts education on the South Shore since 1964. It provides free once/month art demos or programs during specific months, workshops and classes, and its own art gallery as well as other art spaces, like the City Art Gallery, among other activities for all ages, needs, and talents!
