Man suspected of several vehicle break-ins at Stateline casino

A suspect has been arrested for a series of robberies from cars parked at Stateline, Nev. At 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 4, Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) received a call from Harrah's Tahoe security, alerting them that they had detained a man, 22-year-old Jeremy Perez of San Francisco.

Perez was with security officers after he was seen leaving a parking lot where several vehicles had their windows smashed and property taken.

During their investigation DCSO deputies located evidence connecting Perez to the car burglaries and he was arrested.

Perez remains in custody, charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of destruction of property, and one count of possession of burglary tools.

The investigation is still ongoing. If you were a victim of a car burglary last weekend in the casino core area of Stateline, please contact Investigator Jarrod Guilford at (775) 586-7256.

Curtis Fong, director of last weekend's America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride said several participants in his event reported bike equipment being stolen from cars at MontBleu, Hard Rock and Harrah's. At least two of his participants could not riding around the lake due to the theft.

At this time no suspects have been identified in those thefts and it is unknown if Perez was involved.
