Jamie Anderson once again nominated for ESPY award

Her name in on the list with Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Von Miller, Cam Newton, Kyle Busch and Roger Federer. South Lake Tahoe's Jamie Anderson was nominated this week by ESPN for a 2016 ESPY as "Best Female Action Sports Athlete."

Anderson, who's list of medals is a lengthy one, has won three ESPY awards. At their July, 2014 ceremony, Jamie won the award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete and Best Female U.S. Olympian. She also won the ESPY for Best Female Action Sports Athlete in 2012.

Anderson grew up in Meyers and spent much of her youth on the slopes of Sierra-at-Tahoe. She won inaugural Women's Slopestyle Event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Jamie joined fellow local Olympians Maddie Bowman and Hannah Teter in a celebratory parade through South Lake Tahoe and Meyers.

An ESPY Award is an accolade presented by the American cable television network ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance.

The show will be broadcast live on ABC on Wednesday, July 13, at 8 p.m. from the Microsoft Theater in L.A.
