LTCC brings Professional Dancers and Choreographers to South Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe Dance Connection brings in Professional Dancers and Choreographers for a weekend of dance, top instruction and fun. This weekend workshop takes place August 16 & 17, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Lake Tahoe Community College. Register by July 14, for the early bird special rate of $255! After that the price increases to $280.

This two-day workshop brings together the dance industries top professionals from around the country to Lake Tahoe to instruct classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. The professional staff includes: Chip Abbott, Maia Wilkens, Michael Levine, Tyler Critelli and Stacey Printz. Chip Abbott is originally from Carson City, Nevada, currently lives in New York City where he is a guest instructor at Broadway Dance Center and has performed extensively in national musical tours and choreographed on Broadway. Maia Wilkens and Michael Levine are ballet instructors who both performed with the world famous Joffrey Ballet. Tyler Critelli is a Dancer/Choreographer from Los Angeles who will feature Hip Hop and Tap. Stacey Printz, Artistic Director of the Printz Dance Project in San Francisco and professional dancer, will feature Tap.

Dancers will begin each day with Yoga for Dancers taught by local yoga instructor, professional dancer and producer, Jessica Broyles. Dancers then break into groups according to age including Junior, Teen, High School, and Adult levels, to experience master classes in a variety of dance genres from the professional staff. Local professional dancer and pilates instructor, Rose Marie Ottman, will conclude the day with a Pilates cool down. The weekend features twelve total hours of instruction. A quality nutritious lunch is provided for each participant along with a souvenir upon check-in.
