In observance of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, and in partnership with the National Council for Mental wellbeing local Tahoe facilitator, Natasha Buffo has open availability for a Mental Health First Aid USA course. The course is a full day, scheduled for May 21st, and registration is open until May 14th. The course content covers information on common mental health challenges for adults in the US including recognizing symptoms, signs, and risk factors.

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club is inviting the public to learn more about the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California during a well-illustrated and captivating presentation by Herman Fillmore on May 23 at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center on May 23 at 3:30 p.m. Herman Fillmore is the Culture/Language Resources Director for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe’s first indoor mini golf course, Flatstick Pub, also known as Tipsy Putt, will be teaming up with the Bread and Broth to give back to the South Lake Tahoe community. Each Sunday of May from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Flatstick Pub will donate $1 for every beer and $1 for every round of mini golf purchased to Bread and Broth.

Stella Van Dyke Johnson American Legion Post 795 of South Lake Tahoe invites community members and visitors to join American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion members for a Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024. The ceremony will be held at Happy Homestead Cemetery, 1261 Johnson Blvd, South Lake Tahoe.
