Taste of Gold at Lake Tahoe Community College

What is summer without an evening of local wine, beer, and food? Taste of Gold, the Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) Foundation’s popular annual fundraiser, is scheduled for Saturday, August 5, from 6-8 pm under the pines at LTCC’s beautiful mountain campus.

“This year’s event will be at a new venue under the trees to take advantage of the natural shade,” noted Nancy Harrison, LTCC Foundation Executive Director. “It will be near the Coyote Legacy Plaza next to the soccer field with comfortable seating to ensure attendees enjoy a relaxing and fun summer night out!”

El Dorado County DOT holding public meeting on upcoming winter snow removal

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After an overwhelming situation in March 2024, many residents are concerned with snow removal for the upcoming winter. The El Dorado County Department of Transportation (DOT) will be holding a public meeting in South Lake Tahoe to discuss plans for and take questions about the upcoming winter snow removal operations in the unincorporated portions of the Basin.

Chuy’s Taco Truck along with light lunch refreshments and cake will be served.

Azul Latin Kitchen to host fundraiser for Bread & Broth

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Azul Latin Kitchen in Heavenly Village will host a taco buffet fundraiser on Tuesday, November 12, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to benefit Bread & Broth. A taco/nacho bar with tortillas, chips, salsa, guacamole, beans, rice, a variety ofmeat/vegetarian options, and various toppings will be available. The cost of the event is $20 for adults and $10 for kids, not including drinks.

All proceeds from the buffet and drink sales (including tips), a raffle, and a silent auction will be donated to Bread & Broth.
