Volunteers needed to help keep Tahoe clean and blue
Submitted by Editor on Thu, 07/05/2012 - 6:31am
The League to Save Lake Tahoe is partnering with the U.S. Forest Service this summer for two community beach clean-up days around Lake Tahoe. Volunteers will be helping to clean-up our beautiful beaches. Keeping Tahoe clean and blue is a year round effort and we need the help of residents and visitors alike.
The first beach cleanup day will be on the evening of Monday, July 9th at the Tallac Historic Site parking area from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The Tallac Historic Site is located 2.5 miles north of the South Lake Tahoe "Y" intersection. We are encouraging volunteers to cover the beaches from Camp Richardson to Baldwin Beach. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend the event. The second beach clean-up event will be held in August on the east shore of Lake Tahoe; more details to come.
If you would like more information on volunteering for these events please call 530-541-5388, or email events@keeptahoeblue.org. Thank you for your support to Keep Tahoe Blue and clean!
