Tahoe Fund Recruiting Founding CEO
Submitted by Editor on Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:02amThe non-profit Tahoe Fund has engaged Olive Grove Consulting of Belmont, CA to conduct a search for the Fund’s founding Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Over the next 10 years the CEO will be responsible for raising and distributing $50 million to restore and enhance the Lake, including work on bike trails, restoration projects, interpretive programs, public parks and related projects. Founded in 2010, Tahoe Fund raises private money to supplement the limited public funding available for such efforts.

While South Shore is lucky to have Howie Nave as the emcee of all things standup comedy, Ewing, known around town as "Don the Baker," knows he can't compete on the same stage.
"I'm not really not funny," he says. "I'm not rich, either. I'm a baker's man who kneads dough."

“The problem with earmarks, when you look at them, it’s symbolic largely, because it’s not that it’s a huge part of the federal budget,” he said. “But a lot of them appear at the end with absolutely no hearings and they are in bills.

Nevada Governor Questions $6 Million In Legal Fees To Defend Freeway Construction Lawsuit

Gov. Brian Sandoval today expressed concern about the amount of legal fees in the case involving a $40 million claim by Utah-based Ames Construction, which built the first phase of the U.S. 395 bypass in the capital that opened in February of 2006.
