The event features dinner, silent auction, live music and much more!
Tickets must be purchased in advance (and will only be available through Oct. 23) and cost $35 per person. Ten percent of proceeds to benefit the Tahoe Women’s Center.

Lake Tahoe Unified School District Receives Report Card
Submitted by Editor on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 3:28pmSouth Lake Tahoe Unified School District recently received the Academic Performance Index scores for the year 2011.
The API Target is 800 or above. Overall, the district dropped one point from 2010 (781 to 780). Below are the detailed scores for each school:
The Magnet school dropped 4 points to 935 - However it is the highest score in all of El Dorado County.
Bijou went from 718 to 701, having made substantial gains from 689 in 2009.
Sierra House did well in gaining 13 points 813 to 836.
South Lake Tahoe Finance Department Recognized for Accounting

According to a city press release, this certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
