Lake Tahoe Unified School District Receives Report Card

Sierra House did well in gaining 13 points 813 to 836.
Tahoe Valley also scored well, jumping 20 points from 788 up to 808.
South Tahoe Middle School slid 14 points down to 778.
South Tahoe High School also fell 4 points from 759 to 755.
The Academic Performance Index (API) summarizes a school's academic performance and progress on statewide assessments. The API also is used as an additional indicator for federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) requirements.
South Lake Tahoe Unified School District recently received the Academic Performance Index scores for the year 2011.
The API Target is 800 or above. Overall, the district dropped one point from 2010 (781 to 780). Below are the detailed scores for each school:
The Magnet school dropped 4 points to 935 - However it is the highest score in all of El Dorado County.
