Tahoe Magic fundraiser at Coyote Grill
Submitted by Editor on Wed, 11/30/2011 - 1:45pmA chili dinner is set for Dec. 1, at Coyote Grill in the Round Hill Plaza to benefit Tahoe Magic, a South Shore Lake Tahoe organization formed in 1992 that serves families and individuals in the Tahoe community that are in need of temporary financial assistance. The fundraiser runs from 5 to 10 p.m. and costs $1 for a bowl of chili. Twenty percent of the fundraiser will go to Tahoe Magic.

Nevada and California agree to make 2022 Winter Olympic bid

Electronic equipment and river monitoring devices were damaged or destroyed. Two logs were found to have graffiti sprayed on them, saying "Stop Golf" and "Save the Park."

The Tahoe Resource Conservation District has released a series of educational posters which identify some of the biggest threats to Lake Tahoe Basin, as well as what visitors, residents and even kids can do to help. Titled “Tahoe’s Most un-Wanted,” the first three posters feature aquatic invasive species, fine sediments from runoff and invasive weeds, and are free to pick up or request for local schools, businesses and other organizations who would like to display them publicly.

Tahoe planning agency to look at Homewood plan; Upper Truckee river plan removed from agenda

According to a news release, the Dec. 14 agenda remains unchanged and includes a proposed adoption of the Final Environmental Impact Review and Environmental Impact Statement for Homewood Mountain Resort. The meetings are on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Granlibakken, and Thursday, Dec. 15 at the TRPA offices.
