The action-comedy film "21 Jump Street," currently playing at the Horizon Stadium at Stateline, Lake Tahoe, may seem a little familiar to those who saw the teen comedy "Project X" recently. And for good reason, the writer for both films was Michael Bacall. There's much of the same in both films, high school affairs drugs and teen mammoth parties.

The winter storm the finally came to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra has dumped several feet of snow, with a few more inches on the way, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. With the heavy stuff now having passed through, the real fun has begun at Lake Tahoe ski areas, who are reporting three or more feet of fresh snow from the storm. Top to bottom, up to five feet of snow has fallen over the past few days at many ski resorts.
