Bona Fide Books asks community to participate in survey
Submitted by Editor on Sun, 10/30/2011 - 10:23amSeveral South Shore Lake Tahoe businesses, including the Bona Fide Books publishing house, are in the process of evaluating whether to open a temporary "pop-up" bookstore in South Lake Tahoe for the coming holiday shopping season. To help evaluate the feasibility and nature of a pop-up bookstore in the community, and whether there is support for having a permanent bookstore in town, Bona Fide Books has helped develop a quick and simple online survey.
Cable outage affects South Shore Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley
Submitted by Editor on Sun, 10/30/2011 - 9:39amIf your television began to glitch in and out beginning around 8 a.m. this morning and then went completely static, it's not your fault, it is Charter Communications, which is reporting a widespread cable television outage throughout South Shore, on both sides of the state line and down into Minden and Gardnerville. A Charter representative did not have an estimated time for service to be restored.

Settlement reached in Tahoe pier dispute

Tamara Fritz and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency agreed to terms this week resolving violations between April 2008 and March 2011. Go here for more.
