The measure now moves to the Environmental Protection Agency. The new rules permit pesticides as a last resort to control invasive species like Eurasian milfoil, an aquatic plansold for aquariums which is choking the bottom of marinas around the lake.

According to Nevada Magazine the totality of the eclipse will last from 6:28 to 6:33 p.m local time in the regions with the longest totality. Though a partial eclipse will be visible across the region, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Pyramid Lake (Where the Symbiosis music festival will be taking place May 17-21) are all directly in the path of the moon's shadow where all of the sun except for a small ring of light will be totally obscured.

Rep. Joe Heck, R-Nev., held a telephone conference call to talk up Romney’s credentials as a “turnaround specialist” who will get the country back on track. He also criticized Obama for failing to get spending or the national deficit under control as he promised early on in his presidency.

The conference was approved by TED administration and will likely be held at the new Viking Theatre at South Tahoe High School's Tahoe Arts and Design Academy.
