Lake Tahoe Historical Society Fireside Chat

April 19, 2016 - 7:00pm The Lake Tahoe Historical Society invites the public to their next Fireside Chat and Spring General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Camp Richardson.
Their guest speaker for the evening will be William "Bill" Morgan, author of "Morgan’s Tale", available at the Museum Bookstore and on the night of the event. Morgan worked for the Forest Service as a civil engineer for 16 years before transferring to the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit where he served as the Forest Service Supervisor for 9 years. In 1985, after retiring from the Forest Service, he became the Executive Director of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA).
Morgan will share the stories behind the disasters, decisions, and controversies of these agencies in the 1970s and 80s.
Free for members and $3 for nonmembers. Space is limited; we suggest you arrive early. Refreshments will be available.
