A Weekend of Dangberg Family History

The weekend of July 23 and 24 the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park will feature two days of Dangberg family history with a Chautauqua on Fred Dangberg, Jr. and a presentation by his real life grandson Steve “Dink” Achard. Both presentations are free.

Mike Hall will give a Chautauqua portrayal of Fred Dangberg, Jr. on Saturday, July 23 at 10:00 am. Hall, former president of the Friends of Dangberg non-profit, brings to life the legendary founder of the town of Minden, Carson Valley Days and tireless promoter of the Dangberg Land and Live Stock Company. As Fred Dangberg, Jr., he will share several personal triumphs, tragedies and family stories.

Alpen Sierra Coffee Company is providing complimentary coffee and 88 Cups & More is providing baked treats for visitors.

The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88m ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event, and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. For more information, visit dangberghomeranch.org.
