Carson High Booster Club receives a “boost” from the Carson Nugget

Carson City, NV—Carson High School football players will receive new helmets, shoulder pads and other equipment this year thanks to the generosity shown during the annual “Kick-Off Dinner” recently held at Carson Nugget.

At the start of each season, the Carson High Athletic Department and the Carson High Football Boosters raise money to support the program. This year the Carson Nugget provided the venue and split the revenue generated through the sale of alcohol to help the group generate income.

“It was a lot of fun and we are very grateful for all the community support,” said Brad Kiesow, CHS Football Boosters President. “We had Carson City BBQ provide the food. The Carson High Cheerleaders provided some of the entertainment. We had a DJ and a live band. ”

Star Anderson, Carson Nugget General Manager said; “We are happy we are able to support our community’s young athletes. If it weren’t for the Carson High Boosters, the school’s sports teams would not have the equipment they need to play. I’m glad the Carson Nugget could play a role in helping the Boosters provide much needed equipment.”

The Carson Nugget strongly supports Carson City community efforts and area non-profit organizations. The “Community First” motto is a significant part of the Carson Nugget’s mission. To learn more about “Community First” efforts visit: http://www.ccnugget.com/community-first
