A 28-year-old Reno woman has been arrested on five felony charges stemming from multiple vehicle burglary cases in Incline Village.
Detectives with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Regional Crime Suppression Unit arrested Brandy Sosa on Tuesday. Over the past several weeks, patrol deputies took several vehicle burglary cases. Their investigation led them through neighborhoods where they garnered intelligence through interviews and obtaining surveillance videos.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives worked in conjunction with the Regional Crime Suppression Unit with the intelligence obtained by deputies, and furthered the case and evidence gathering which they say pointed to Sosa.
Sosa was arrested the night of January 12, 2021 and was released on her own recognizance shortly after midnight on January 13, 2021. She is charged with four felony counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, one felony count of possession of stolen property, and one count of obtaining money under false pretenses.
