South Lake Tahoe, Calif. - Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) has announced their buses in South Lake Tahoe will be on limited operations Monday, January 23 as the most recent storm makes its way out of the area.
South Lake Tahoe has experienced back-to-back major storms that left the roads narrow and difficult to negotiate safely.
"City, County, and State snow removal resources are rightfully focused on maintaining access for emergency vehicles – a task made more difficult by dwindling areas for snow storage and illegally parked or stranded vehicles," said George Fink, the TTD Transit System Program Manager, in a press release. "The safe operation of public transit is TTD's top priority!"
Depending on conditions, TTD will add back routes throughout the day with full service expected on Tuesday, January 24.
Check the TTD website at www. tahoetransportation.org/transit/ or check the Tahoe Transportation District Facebook page for service levels and updates.
