Brooke Laine appointed to South Lake Tahoe City Council

Brooke Laine was appointed to the South Lake Tahoe City Council on Tuesday to fill the seat vacated by former Mayor Claire Fortier.
The appointment was made during a special session of the South Lake Tahoe City Council. Laine will be sworn in Feb. 5 and will serve through December 2014. Nine had applied for the job.
The City Clerkâs Office accepted applications for an appointment to the City Council to fill the unexpired term
Each candidate was interviewed at the Special City Council meeting this morning with Mayor Tom Davis participating via teleconference.
